Livingston FC fought back to secure a 2-2 draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a Championship fixture on Saturday. Robbie Muirhead's late equaliser ensured the Lions extended their unbeaten run after twice falling behind at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Bruce Kabongolo gave Livingston the lead in the 24th minute, finishing from a Teteh Sinclair assist. The visitors responded in the second half, with Adam Stewart levelling in the 58th minute and Adam Bavidge putting Inverness ahead 18 minutes later. Muirhead struck back almost immediately, netting the decisive goal just three minutes after Bavidge's effort.
Livingston manager David Martindale made a series of changes in the second half in search of a result. Shaun Pittman, Steven May, Cristian Montano and Charlie Palmer were all introduced as the game progressed. The result leaves Livingston fourth in the Championship table with nine points from six matches. They are seven points behind leaders Stenhousemuir.
Both sides saw players booked in the closing stages. Sinclair received a yellow card for Livingston in the 84th minute, while Inverness substitute Robbie MacGregor was cautioned five minutes later. Muirhead was also booked in added time.
The Lions now turn their attention to a tough away fixture against second-placed Raith Rovers next Friday.
